You
use "UNA" with every feminine word that starts with a consonant and "
UN' " with the feminine words that start with a vowel. "UNA" becomes " UN' " because there is the meeting of two vowel: we replace the vowel "A" with apostrophe.

For the masculine words you use different kinds of indefinite article:
you use "UN" for the words that start with a vowel, like
un orologio (a watch)
and with a consonant, like
un tempo (a time)
For the masculine words that start with some consonant you have to use the indefinite article "UNO":
